Hi,

I had a request to add 4 phones to an office. They want their own attendant (I think I can handle that with Call Director) but I want to make sure a) incoming calls will never hit our attendant and b) that they will never reach our company directory and c) if possible they can consult another directory of numbers (a directory of the 4 numbers I am giving them)

Do you know if this is possible? We are runnning a 3300 with Nupoint for our voicemail

Thanks

Interestingly, I have a similar challenge but have yet to look into it.

My plan was to look more deeply into the Group COS and Network COS as I believe these have the elements we need.

If you can wait, I'll be on this in the next 30 days or so.

If not, take lead and I'll help where I can.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Yes you definitely want to set up a separate GCOS, I'm not sure if a separate NCOS is necessary but I don't think it would hurt.

I have done this before using GCOS. You have to use a GCOS above 64. GCOS between 65 and 32267 are called Affinity GCOS. One of the features of affinity GCOS is all of the mailboxes within the same GCOS have a unique name directory. You would put the call director and all mailboxes for the group in the same GCOS. One caveat is mailbox users in a certain affinity GCOS cannot forward messages to a user in a different GCOS, it will say the users do not exist. Also, you cannot program the Affinity GCOS from the web gui, it must be done from putty.

Good Luck!
