Hello,

Just trying to find some answers. I have a 5550 IP Console that I need to swap. It's a one to one. All the settings, software, hardware will stay the same with the exception of the IP console. Does the software need to be reinstalled on the computer or does the only thing that needs to happen is to change the mac address to match the new IP 5550 console in the Mitel 3300 configuration? If there are other configuration steps that I am not aware of, I would be very appreciative to anyone's experience and knowledge.

Thank you

Carlos

There are typically 3 places the MAC address is defined

Config wizard
IP Console Form
DHCP Static Settings

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

MitelAppie,

Does the Mitel Console software have a wizard on it, or does the wizard have to be invoked from the application installation? By rerunning the configuration wizard, will it set all the settings back to default for the console software?

Thank you

Carlos

The wizard is part of the installation. You should find it via Windows Start. If you run the wizard you only have to change the MAC address. The rest you can leave it as it is.

MitelAppie,

Thank you for the response and all the advice.
