could anybody help with the following?
I have a 5550 console connected to a cisco 3750. The DHCP on the controller is disabled, and the phones (including the console) get their IP addresses from a Cisco switch. The PC attached to the phone and running the console software is on a differenct VLan to the phone. Both are DHCP. My problem is this: the pc apparently keeps dropping its network connection, and the console software goes into night service 1. This is curable by resetting the phone.
I believe the phone is the issue. However, I need some advice on diagnostics on how to get to the bottom of this issue. I have already changed all cables, the switch port involved and the PC itself.
I have no spare 5550.
Any ideas??
