Been working on this a while, and hoping someone else has seen this.
According to the 5000 docs, the 5000 is compatible and can monitor APC SmartUPS's.
We purchased an APC C 1500 for each of our 14 sites.
When the APC is connected to the 5000, the 5000 does not knowledge it. But if we look in the syslog we can see that the UPS is detected, it see the model and serial number, and attempts to use it. It fails however with a "upsd.hotplug: Error starting UPS monitoring" error.
Anyone have any ideas?
