Hi,

I have an issue on a Mitel 5000 system with analog trunks assigned to keys on digital extensions. Recently the customer has been complaining about the ability to make calls and when we arrive on site to investigate we notice that the trunk access on the phone is no longer there. So we have to reprogram the system to put the lines back on the phones and it works fine then only to have it occur again a couple of weeks later. The customer has assured us that there has been no power issues or anything of the sort.

Has anyone had this happen before?

look for a feature code that can cause this. I don't know if there is one but that is where I would start.

Default feature codes on the system are mostly 3XX. How likely is it that 3xx might be dialed accidentally on tour system.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

They're likely changing to their Alternate Keymap. Default feature code is 399.

I have dreamed a dream, but now that dream has gone from me.

There is a system flag that forces the customer to choose the special key on the phones to enter a feature code, in case the issue is with a random code being entered. It says special key (something or other)

Are you backing the system up to itself after any programming changes?

Jim

Thank you all for the suggestions. I will look into the feature code issue and see what happens.

Jim, yes we are backing up the system after changes to the programming. I will look for the system flag you suggested also.
