I'm new to the 5000 and I wanted to see how other installers are dealing with analog trunks when the customers are used to key systems?? For example if the location wants the trunks to appear and ring on a couple of phones but just show a status on the others.

Program the keys as trunk keys. be sure to program a trunk group. You will still build a hunt group as the answer point for the trunk group. The members of the hunt group should be an extension list with all extensions included that you want to physically ring. Add all extensions into the answer access form. Be sure to reprogram the hold key as "system hold". The 5K comes default as "individual hold".

Doesn't have to be. If they are in the same hunt group from telco I would put them in the same trunk group in the 5K.
