I am installing a couple of systems that the customer will want to network together in the near future. I am thinking of a dialing plan of 72XX & 73XX at one location and 74XX at the remote location. Would that work as a network dialing plan or do I need different leading numbers for each location?

Thanks, Jim

I found my books from class a couple of years ago and 7 across the network is fine.

Yep, as Crowtalks says that would be fine, you just can't the same extn on both sites.

You could have 7410 on one site and 7411 on the other if you wanted.

LOl...thanks for the reply, NTEDave

I have done hundreds of Nortel networks using CDP but this is the first Mitel nodal network

Don't cock up the P6xxx numbering for the IP Connections and you'll be fine! :)

You know, I already did that. I went flying through the wizard all cocky and self confident and the systems wouldn't talk...then my coworker realized I hadn't modified the P6000 extensions on node 2...now it works like a charm...but I have to deal with her smugness now...geez

Now now Crow...Don't get upset at me. All of us rookies get our fair share of moments to enjoy. If you hadn't been on the phone, you would have noticed that I was on the phone with Mitel to get the quick answer. LOL
