My company is moving to a new service provider for voice/data service with MPLS. We currently have 3 sites, Site A: has the Mitel 5000, Site B: has 10 Mitel 5330's connected via the MPLS, site C: has 10 Mitel 5330's connect via MPLS. Site B,C currently have 4 POTS lines that are going through Quintom gateway's, that are connected to the internal network for least cost routing etc.... We are porting the DID's from sites B,C to the PRI at Site A, and eliminating the Quintom Gateways. One pots line with stay at sites b,c for faxing only.

The problem I am struggling to understand is how i am going to deal with 911 calls. Previously I had the 911 calls routing from site b/c through MPLS, to Phone system, to Quintom Gateway, out the pots lines.

I know 5.1 has Emergency Calling party number Field within the extension programming, and that our new service provider will allow us to broadcast Caller ID.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated

Install LIM modules and train the end user to access the analog line for 911 purposes.

Thanks for the reply. I thought about that, but the only problem is that I will only have 1 pots line at both of those locations for faxing. I could split it off but to 10 phones?
