I've just been dropped a job to program an SN-DDi onto a mitel 3300CXI ii. Now I'm a Nortel engineer for my sins and don't have any real experience on this Mitel switch. I've checked the web for any suitable manuals and found nowt! Anyone out there got the SOP for doing this relatively simple job??

Cheers, J

Login to the 3300 (presume you know how to do this)

easiest way then would be a system speedcall - system speed call assignment.
Add an entry for the digits presented by the provider (last 4 or 6 digits of the DDI as standard in the UK) put the actual number as the destination - extension or hunt group etc

Simplicity depends on whether you need to do this from scratch or if you are just activating an unused DDI within an active range.

Assuming the latter, I would then need to know if active DDI's currently match the incoming digits

Assuming this to be the case, the simplest approach would be to program up a station that matches the incoming DDI digits in the same manner as the other stations and see if it works.

Assuming this does not work it would be useful to know exactly how many digits are delivered and how many digits exist in the station length. This can be determined via the Trunk Attributes Form. (name of form might be different - Trunk Service Assignment on Older SW Revs.) Within this form you will hopefully have one labelled for your PRI. It will have values for Absorb digits and Insert Digits. These values will be essential to know to be able to move forward.

Looking forward to eliminating a few of those assumptions.

Thanks guys, especially James. I got to site but couldn't log in using the system/password authentication but did get in using the customer log in (which provided sufficient priveleges). Programming very simple, customer chuffed!
