Hello everyone,

how do I assign a 800# to a phone in a department?

It depends..

How do you receive that 800 incoming call?

Most of the time the 800 number is routed to one of your DIDs, so all you have to do is route that DID to extension where you want to answer.

Often practice is to use system speed dial to match your DID digits to the extension number

Thank you for the reply, so I have to order a 800 number and assign a DID to ring on. correct

Yes, you will order the 800 from your LD provider and it will be "forwarded" to one of your DIDs...locally they can call the DID, LD customers can call the Toll Free number and ring in on the same DID.
