Mitel 3300 with compression

HI all

Can anyone help?

I have just installed a DSP compression module onto our system with 24 compression licenses. The system has come back into service no problem however i have a minor alarm which says DSP CARD STATUS i cant find any thing on Mitel website and no helpful commands in the help file. If i issue the show fault alarm or show status alarm on the command line no alarms are present.

Software version is 5.1

I've seen this before, but like you I don't have much info about it. I know it has something to do with fewer licenses that possible compression paths, and that unless you have a lot of traffic on the controller, you probably won't notice a problem. Sorry I'm not more help.

Thanks Lundah,

I spoke to Mitel support this morning and they cant understand the fault I did find something in the help file in the end which simply says the dsp card is installed but cant be loaded properly. Mitel suggest 2 things 1 the card could be faulty and 2 try to re install the card into slot 6 instead of 4 so have to do this annother night when system is quiet.
