Mitel 3300 w/MAS 1.2 / Nupoint - Unable to modify or delete users from users and services

Hi folks, I'm relatively new to managing Mitel PBX's and havent made changes on this system for a month now. I inherited it and was able to make a few changes to Users and Services a month or so ago. But now whenever i make a change, try and delete a users, etc it errors out. usually with cryptic messages like

Failed to delete user <Lastname> <Firstname> . The delete operation was aborted.
Delete User Error:

substitute <lastname> with users name

The Delete User Error really is blank. I even tried deleting the settings from Nupoint web console first and it still gives this error (delete from nupoint web works).

Changes made recently - i changed the external IP address of the box and reran the DNS wizard reconfiguration app via SSH and it seemed to work properly. Teleworker is working, so i know both the ICP and the Nupoint servers are talking to each other.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Before everyone else asks please provide a bit more detail regarding the software levels of the products involved.

You say MAS is 1.2?.
Is the Nupoint within the MAS or a standalone?
Is single point provisioning setup in the MAS and was it used to program the sets originally?


I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

If you could help with where to check this, i'd be happy to provide the details. I dont know how the original sets were set up, however i do know that i was able to make changes to the "Users and Settings" on the MAS 1.2 website and they reflected to the phones so it was working recently. I only changed the external IP of the NUpoint/MAS box and no internal IP changes have occurred. I know the two boxes are speaking to each other as voice conferencing and logging are working.

I still need to go into the MITEL desktop admin tool (on the 3300) to program set specific features.

I only have a single login portal to the MAS/Nupoint box, it brings up a websites that says "Mitel Applications Suite 1.2" at the top and has a menu on the left that lists:

Applications
Users and Services
Audio and Web Conferencing
Teleworker Solution
NuPoint Web Console
Mobile extension
Licensing Information

Audio and web conference, teleworker and any programmed sets are still working.

At the bottom of the site is says:

All rights reserved.

Finally, if this is a complicated problem that requires a skilled Mitel technican, perhaps someone could suggest a seasoned technician in the Calgary, Alberta, Canada area?
