We have a customer that wants to set up some ip phones at an offsite location. What is the best way to do this? We were originaly going to do it over a t1 but this way is pretty expensive. I only have 2 3300's so my experience on this is limited. Will Sip trunking accomplish this? The sights right now are tied together using pairs through the Telco Co and analog extenxions. What are my options? (3300 mcd 4.1)

thanks

I would recommend going with a MBG (MItel Borger Gateway) for secure and encrypted VoIP connectivity to off prem endpoints.

does that work over a vpn connection, or is that its own connection over internet? can you please explain to me how it would work, and maybe physical parts to make it work?

thanks alot

If you are looking to setup phones on a remote location without locally putting a seperate switch in then a MBG is the best way forward. It will connect locally to the 3300 and can be contacted through the internet. The phones need internet access only at the location that they are distributed. Secure, Safe and Simple.
