Mitel 3300 voicemail and mailbox problem

I have an old Mitel 3300 system with 5340 ip phones. I had a teleworker phone which broke and so am trying to transfer all the lines etc onto a new teleworker phone with a different extension.
Problem 1
I have managed to put on a my private line which has a voicemail set up on it. I have set up a voicemail button as per the old phone but on the new phone when I call that line it doesn't go to voicemail - just rings.

Problem 2
I used to have a voicemail on my extension number. I have set up a new voicemail box for my new extension number via voice mailbox configuration and the administrator but again when my extension is dialled it just rings and doesn't trip to voicemail. When I go in via the administrator it says everything is set up fine for the mailbox and it is active.

Can I get any pointers as to what I am missing?

Probably you need to set up the diversion. either on the phone itself or by call rerouting in programming Call rerouting first alternative. Need to do it on both numbers. Just divert to your VM DN in both cases.

When you removed the lines from the old phone they also were removed from the Call Rerouting Assignment form. Go to the Call Rerouting First Alternate form and find the index number that points to the voice mail hunt group. Make note of this index number. Now go to the Call r\Rerouting Assignment form and find the extension numbers in question. Change the First Alternate index number for each extension from 1 to the index number you noted in the Call Rerouting First Alternate form. That should correct the forwarding to voice mail.
