Help!!!

Hey folks.... still a newbie to Mitel.. I have a customer that wants to get voice mails in their outlook and listen to them through that. Also they want to be able to dial out of outlook contacts. Will UCexpress do this? or do they need advance?

UC Express will do it but UC express only works with 53XX models.

UC Express will allow you to dial outlook contacts but no through outlook itself. UCA will allow click to dial through outlook.
UC Express dials through a toolbar where you search for the contact, at least that how I remember it. It's not quick either.
What version system are you running as you will need advanced voicemail (free license) to get voicemail to email to work.

I guess I need to know also is email to voice mail as a wav file I assume so they can click on the e-mail and listen to the voice mail.... is this also what UCA Express does or is that something different.

UCA express has nothing to do with Vmail

UCA express gives you control of your phone thru an application portal on your computer.

Dialing from Outlook is possible with minor configuration changes after UCA is installed.

Advanced VM is required on older SW loads and is a free option to add.

With Rel 5.0 I don't think it even exists anymore.

OK... so What do I need for VM to end up in outlook inbox? Like NuPoint? or a MAS Server... Sorry if I sound way out there. Im new to all of this. Im sure you remember me and You have helped me ALOT and greatly appreciated.

Go to your form License and Option selection

Is Advanced Voicemail enabled?

If yes, you can enable vm to email if not, you must get it.

I will have to goto site and see... no remote access. If I don't have that, is that going to be free or something we have to purchase?

You dont need to express UC if you just want to forward voicemail to email

Create voicemail to the email address of each person to enable email forward.

In the systems options, enter the SMTP server address, the address of the sender.

That's all I think.
