Just set up a new call accounting server, that has the option to talk via IP. The prior is setup serial, but I can't find any menus to change this. Also, would this be able to go out the WAN side?
In the WAN side unfourtunatelly you can't see the smdr because the system is deployed in the LAN side (assume), and a NAT will not work, what you have to do is to deploy the call accounting in the LAN side, or to give to the 3300 controller a public address, unfourtunatelly you have to consider the pro and contra to expose the equipment to the WAN!!!
In my experience the "WAN" port on a 3300 isn't very useful, You can't use it to access any of the 3300's LAN functions without creating a PPTP connection to the 3300's WAN IP.
If you must have the call accounting on the WAN side you can install a router, Set the 3300 to use the router as it's default gateway (reboot) and then forward TCP Port 1752 to the 3300 LAN IP
As Nemmessis pointed out exposing your equipment directly to the public internet can be dangerous, The SMDR port is not encrypted or password protected.
