Mitel 3300 PMS constantly sending NAK

we have a mitel 3300 mxe running version 8.0.10.7_1 and the IP PMS link to Tiger has started only responding with a NAK. after a system reboot it appears to work for a few hours and on a PMS trace it shows names coming across etc, but upon looking at the telephone directory it has not updated. when you stop and start the pms it appears to start up correctly but then fails after the first ENQ after the RQINZ.

i have installed the mitel pms emulator and i get the same problem so we know it is not Tiger or the firewall blocking anything.

i have installed many a Mitel with a pms intergration and i cannot think what would cause this. i have run a dbms check and all comes back ok.

it has been suggested to me that Constant NAK’s on hand shaking means that the call management system is locked out from the phonebook and the Mitel will not let it update or even hand shake, this may indicate a hard drive issue or the phonebook is locked by another user and can not be accessed. but nothing is showing that this is the case. how do you check if the phone book is locked out?

has anybody come across this please, if so any help or pointers are always helpful
