Hi there,

trying to reset the system password on a 3300 CXi

we have serial access

-> swrevs
Software version: 10.0.0.13_1
System relink: No relink has been applied.
Call Control relink: 39.1.0.57_SP1
value = 14 = 0xe

so I believe the system is on MCD 4 (MCD 4.0 – PR1)

so this doesn't work:

-> "Reset_All_Login_Passwords"
value = 494162176 = 0x1d745100

we hoped this would:

-> cd "/db/database/files"
value = 0 = 0x0

-> rm "usrprfle.db"
value = 0 = 0x0

-> reboot

but system/password still doesn't work.....

You have entered an incorrect login ID and/or password. Letters in the login ID and password are case-sensitive. Check that the Caps Lock is not on.

-> version
VxWorks (for Mitel Embedded PPC83XX F100) version 5.5.2.
Kernel: WIND version 2.6.
Made on Aug 19 2009, 12:01:00.
Boot line:
ata=0(0,0):/partition1/RTC8260 e=192.168.10.92:ffffff00 h=192.168.1.4 g=192.168.10.91 u=ftp pw=ftp o=qefcc
value = 118 = 0x76 = 'v'

thanks for any input, Neil.

@kwbMitel, you mean the:

-> cd "/db/database/files"
value = 0 = 0x0

-> rm "usrprfle.db"
value = 0 = 0x0

-> reboot

we did try that...

You may be in that rev where password reset was not possible by any known method
