I am new to the 3300. I set up Night1 service and now incoming DID calls do not work. Basically this is what I did:
Assigned COS to x2000 to allow night service, setup a Speedcall for the main number. In the trunks I entered the 2000 for day and the speedcall number for Night1 and 2000 for Night2. It worked like a charm. I did this to test only. I removed the entries for the trunks for Day,Night1,Night2 and now any DID does not ring in. But when I put an entry back into Day for the trunks it works fine, but only for the trunk for Day, none of the other DID's work. It's almost as if once I activate the Day,Night service there has to be an entry.
Any help would be appreciated.

DID trunks are not supposed to have Day/Night entries in the Trunk Service Assignment form. This would direct all the DID's to the same termination point. Instead you leave the day/N1/N2 fields blank and enter values in the Absorb and Insert digits fields. The Absorb digits remove any unwanted Prefix digits(e.g. Receive 7 digits, absorb 3 = 4 digit DN) In your case it sounds like the digits received and the digits required are the same so you would have a 0/Zero as the absorb digits value. Insert digits would modify the digits before presenting to the system. For your system, leave this blank.

Now create all the DN's to match you incoming DID's and they will all go where you want.

Actually I had DID's working properly by using SpeedCall's because they had specific Ext numbers assigned. But when I was playing around with the Night service and then removed programming from the Non dial In entries everything stopped working. It was my mistake though I forgot to put the 0 back in absorb digits. But the reason I was playing with Night service is that I wanted to redirect the main number that is ringing at the recpt desk. They want the main # to ring a cell number. The only way I can see to make this work is call fwd to a speedcall, but that will fwd all calls ringing at the recept. Do you have any ideas?

Set up a Call Route Always point to the speedcall.

Assign the reroute point against the DN of the console key for night service.

Voila!

But won't that reroute all calls ringing the DN? I just want to reroute one specific DID ( the main number ). By the way all sets are 5340IP, there is no Console. Thx.

The main number should be pointed at a DN that is used only for that number. Other numbers should ring other DN's as necessary. Each DN on the console can be routed separately.

I got it to working like you said. I assigned a DN to a phone, setup a speedcall with the DID to ring the DN. The only problem is that CID info is not displayed until the call is answered and then only the name. Once I answer I can press the SuperKey and go to page 2, press call info and then it shows me the full CID info. Any way to display the CID info on first ring?

Reading between the lines, the DN you are refering to is a key on the phone and not the prime key and the set type is a 5330 or 5340.

If assumptions are wrong, please provide info.

If assumptions are correct, you probably need to enable the COS option - Display Caller ID on Multicall/Keylines

The assumptions are correct. I do have that COS option enabled. It seems that only the prime line displays CID info on the 5340, if it is another key it will display CID name on top, once call is answered I can press the superkey then go to page 2 and press call info. I've also noticed that there is no CID info on a second call either.
