Does this mean one of the hard drives is faulty? I believe that it does and if so the system will continue to work until it's replaced correct?

You are correct.

Insert Witty Signature Here.

It may also just mean that the mirroring is not active.

Was the mirroring enabled before?

How do you check to see if the mirroring is active? is there a command i can use? maintenance log?

Check the status lights on the back.

The Tech Handbook explains all.

Hard work often pays off after time, but laziness always pays off now.

Try the command Show St Redundancy it will show you if RAID is enabled or not.
Its not in any documentation either.
Try to re-raid the Disk, by re-raiding the secondary disk if that fails do a shutdown and clear the sockets of both drives and install software on the secondary and re-raid,
If that fails do a shutdown try the secondary disk with software in the primary,if that works it means the disk is ok.
If a re-raid fails replace the RAID Controller as this is the cause, from experience.
