I have a few 3300's which are to soon be clustered, all are now running 4.1 SP1. Sometime in the past someone setup a PNID on one of the controllers.. As the systems are all 3300's now with IP Networking, I'd really like to remove the PNID, as each IP trunk call will prefix the extension with the PNID once setup. Is there a way of doing this, as simply deleting gives the message 'You cannot delete a PNID once programmed'. I know on new installations, simply not entering it from the start works fine. It does let me change it to another number, but not remove completely. I have also tried deleting the cluster from this element, but It still shows the PNID number under the network element form???

Has anyone every managed to do this...Many thanks!!

Is this system already part of your cluster?
I thought that in a clustered network adding a PNI will apply to all elements of that cluster.

I have not tried this myself however the help files suggest this is possible

Delete the System Node ID
To delete the System Node ID:

On the Delete Configuration menu, enter the Delete PABX Node ID menu item number.
The following message appears:
ARE YOU SURE?
(Y or N) [N]>

Do one of the following:

To delete the node ID, enter y.

To retain the node ID, enter n.

You may have to remove the cluster on that system before you can do this
then delete the PNI and then add the system back in the cluster.
This could be tricky as SDS is running, removing the cluster on one system will probably remove them on the others.

just upgraded a 4.1SP1 to 4.1SP2 for this very reason.
can simply delete the PNID once it is SP2
