Hi,

I want to know how I can change a Loudspeaker setting that is enabled for an internal extension/menu option on our Auto Attendant greeting.
I want to limit paging to one building or a specific setting in the 3300 configuration, I believe.
Hope this make sense.

We have a process for paging here where a user presses "200" + 0, 1, 2 or 3 depending on where they want the page to be heard.
0 = all buildings at our facility, 1 = office and so on.

I found the digits "200" in the ARS Digits Dialed Assignment form and

Under Loudspeaker Paging Assignment form:
4 1 4 1 - LP (Loudspeaker Pager)
4 1 4 2 - LP
4 1 4 3 - LP
4 1 4 4 - LP
7 1 4 1 - 1 port Loudspeaker Pager
It shows the cab, shelf, slot and circuit ID's. Is this essentially a PLID on a card, right?

I cannot find anywhere in all the forms I searched where I can change how the extension dialed that triggers a ringer or Loudspeaker paging(tone)?

Please let me know if more details are needed.
Much appreciated.

You are describing the configuration of a Zone Paging Module. The connection to the ZPM is typically thru an analog trunk thus the ARS entry. All of the intelligence as to where the paging is directed is in the ZPM.

Hi KwbMitel,

Ok, ZPM - got it.

I don't see anything in Analog Trunk assignment?
And I found a trunk server #9 that has a label of "PAGE".
And in ARS - it says it is a "route"...but, I can't find further info in route assignment either...sigh.

Ok, you said all of the intelligence is in the ZPM which really is the analog trunk or the ARS entry of Digits dialed, right?

So, since our paging system is an "analog" amplification system - so it uses an analog signal, hence an analog trunk or connection is needed to be setup in the 3300.
I know this much but I dead end on the ARS entry.

I looked in the 3300 Sys Admin Tool Help page for ARS and it says that if the Termin type is "Route" - check Route Assignment, correct?

I've looked thru all the Route #'s, Trunk Groups and Digit Mod. number fields in all pages of the form and can't seem to find any info linking the ARS entry for paging?

Can you give me a bit of a push?
Thanks!

SP

The ARS Digit assignment form will reference a route number.

In the Route assignment form it will reference a trunk group

In the trunk group you will find the trunk number

in the analog trunk assignment form you will find the trunk and the PLID for the trunk.

The other direction:

On the ZPM you will find terinations labeled T and R (or Tip and Ring) these will terminate to the trunk on the 3300.

Hi KwbMitel,

Sorry for the wait - had to leave the office for a bit...
I'll try your steps and get back to you, thanks!

KwbMitel,

Still waiting to implement.
So far, no one is complaining since I set 3 rings and then forward to the Operator - during the day.
Seems to be working thus far.

I've recorded your steps in case I need to change my current setup or any of the incoming callers complain about the number of rings before forwarding to VM...

Thanks!
