Hi

I have 3 mitel 3300 cxi controllers at different locations linked via ip trunks. All the ip links state's are "established" except for one which is out of service. If the controllers are named A,B,C for each site, the ip trunk between B and C is "out of service". Controller C is able to call controller B but controller B cannot call controller C as the ip trunk status if "out of service.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I find that the most common error is with the IP/XNET Trunk Profile Assignment. Specifically with the remote profile number. When setting up only 2 systems the remote profile is typically set to 1 as each system only has 1 other system to call so only 1 profile is required. When you have more than 2 systems however it gets more complicated. To Simplify my programming I typically set up a profile for every system (including the local system) The set up would look like this.

Site A Site B Site C
# TSN IC RPN # TSN IC RPN # TSN IC RPN
1 1 1 1 1 1 1 2 1 1 1 3
2 1 1 1 2 1 1 2 2 1 1 3
3 1 1 1 3 1 1 2 3 1 1 3

In a nutshell All Sites use Profile 1 to call Site A, All Sites use Profile 2 to call Site B And All Sites use Profile 3 to call Site C.

Thanks for your replies fella's

I have managed to solve the problem, the controller which couldnt establish a link was the only controller running on version 6 which required a reboot and the others on version 7, in which their ip links automatically came up(i.e no reboot required).

It should have been the first thing i should have tried!!!!!

Once again, thanks for the responses!
