Hi everyone.

I'm trying to set up the Hot Desk feature for a few of my users, and I appear to have hit the metaphorical brick wall.

I have a 5340 as the "hotdesk" phone (we'll call this extension 403) which I have setup with the Hotdesk hotkey, setup a hotdesk user (we'll call this extension 424) and I have setup the CoS to allow hotdesk logins.

On x403, I press the Hotdesk hotkey, enter the extension number of the user (x424) and entered the PIN number. The phone appears to reset, I get an "Applications Loading" message and then I am returned to the original screen with the original extension (x403).

Am I missing something important here? I have plenty of licenses so I don't believe that to be an issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is this a stand alone system? If so you will still need to follow the below extract from the help files.

IMPORTANT: If the host ICP is not part of a cluster (that is, it is a standalone system), you must assign it a PBX Number with the local IP address of the controller in the ICP/PBX Networking form. Then, assign this PBX Number as the CEID in the Cluster Elements form.

Thanks Sarond.

A bit beyond my level of experience I'm afriad. I'll get my provider to sort that side of things out rather than making a hash of it myself.

Cheers for the info though.

Regards

Actually those 2 steps are rather easy

Cluster element form - Create cluster and assign a digit string to the cluster ID for the Element (digits dont matter)
ICP/PBX Form - Assign the IP address for the local element and designate as the local element.
