Mitel 3300 hooking up to a Valcom V-2003 paging unit

I am looking to see if anyone has ever got paging to work on a Valcom V-2003 from a Mitel 3300. We have tried the ONS, LS and paging ports off the 3300. This was a quick customer phone system replacement and the customer did not advise us that they had paging.
We have the Valcom pin outs but can't seem to get anything to work.

you should be able to use an LS trunk port. Program the trunk as short 600 ohm. In ars make the access code the digits dialed followed by no digits. Program the trunk to be a group. Program digit modification to strip the number of digits in your access code programmed above and put in a final tone plan <T01>. connect the LS trunk to the Valsom and be sure to turn battery on. You should have a nice day after that.
