I'm trying to upload a wav file (according to the specs in Mitels help section) and I get a file format error every time. Our music on hold is currently on CD and the ripping programs I am trying to use don't seem to create the correct files. Any suggestions?

ARE the files in wav format? If so then use windows recorder to convert to a law or u law codec.

I have used 4 or 5 programs to create the wav files according to mitels specifications. I have tried both A law and u law. I don't understand what exactly the problem is.

Why won't using recorder work. It's merely just saving what ever you have into the format/codec you require.

I have used this many times all though for the 3300. Is this different for the sx?

I have had the best luck ripping them with Nero 6.6, I did have to use a 2nd program to get the volume where I wanted it.

Mitelpassion, used Window recorder on the existing wav files and it worked perfectly. Thnaks for the post. Also, anyone know how many files I can use for my music on hold?
