Hi All,

I am experiencing issues with DSS/BLF's on a site that has been up and running for 3-4 months. Basically when extension 1234 is called, the light flashes on extension 5678. When 1234 picks up the call the lamp on 5678 goes out when it should go solid. Also we have lost Call History which is configured as a call history key on the sets.

Any thoughts?

Best Regards

Assuming 3300?
Assuming Current Software?
Assuming Light worked normally at one time?
Assuming calls are to the prime line and not a key line?
Assuming you recently added multicall key of extension 1234?

Check System option - BLF - Busy Indication Based on Set Enabled

Select "Yes" to light BLF indicators associated with prime DNs when the set is busy on any of its line appearances.

Assuming it is NOT the Prime line

Check COS Option - Force Device Busy If Any Line In Use

This option is not in the help files (Yet) but it does exist in the COS form and was in the training docs.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

They other question would be do you have multiple 3300's ( i.e do you have a cluster ) and are having a BLF key for a phone that is not on your prime 3300? A bit different process for programming BLF keys across a cluster.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.
