can anyone give a brief outline of how to get DDI's to pass through on calls, the DDI range does not match the assigned Internal DN numbering, system speed calls have been configured details below;

3300ICP v9.0.2.31_1

ddi range 555300-555399

DN range 2000-2100

Sys speed calls:
speedcall number Actual Number
555300 2000
555301 2001
etc...

currently the system passes through the root DDI number only, regardless of which DN makes the call.

There are no DID ranges for substitution configured or CPN substitution as per attached link to jpegs.

It took me a while to understand your question. I'm not sure I'm entirely there but here is my best guess at what you are asking.

How can I get my outbound caller ID to display my True DDI when my DN does not match my DDI?

It's easier than you think.

The DID ranges page contains the DN's(internal Ext) and CPN Substitution (External Number).

For your Example the DID field would be
2000-2099 (guessing range)

The CPN field would be
5553xx (Because the last 2 digits match for the range you do not need an entry for every DN)

The CPN Substitution form will have a default CPN for DN's that do not match any enabled DID tables and also lists enabled DID ranges tables.

Helpful Hint.

If you have DID's within the range that you want to send different numbers for, then have specific entries for them in lower numbered tables. The system will process the first match found. This way you can still define your entire range in a higher numbered table instead of breaking the range to accomodate the exceptions.

Just adding onto KWB's message, make sure that your telco provider allows you to provide your own outgoing caller ID.

Hey KWB - don't you have to go in to the system via IMAT to allow outgoing caller ID?

YNOT- My response assumes embedded T1/E1, No NSU was mentioned thus no IMAT.

Most Telco's will allow caller ID sent as long as the number sent matches a number registered for inbound. You typically only get into trouble if you try and send Non-Native numbers.

Kwb,

Most telcos in my area require the decision be made when ordering service whether the telco sends the the main number out as caller ID for all calls or if they will allow anything we send them. Depending on the carrier, if you don't set up the CPN substitution correctly, I have seen the name and DN of the user sent instead of the DID.
