Hi,
I have an issue with the Mitel 3300 5540 console going into absent mode. I made a change in the COS of the console to disable that works great however when ever a user go to put the console into night service mode the console will automatic turn on the absent. When the absent on no call comes into the company.

My question is there any way i can just disable the absent all together, if not is there a way i can route the call to another destination if absent was turned by mistake?

Thanks in advance.

Absent with night service is normal behaviour

Normally night service would direct calls elsewhere

There is a timer for the console that is set to 10 minutes by default (exact name escapes me) - recommend maximum value of 1440 minutes

Thanks,
I have set that timer to 1440. However, that absent comes on when you put it in night services and if your not looking or if someone switch the night services and they are not looking then it caused a problem.

I think you are stuck with how it works.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Anyone else and you need to throw it harder.

if the timer was set to 10 and you have now changed it to 1440 I think your issues will go away.

The name of that timer sounds like a call must be ringing the console for 10 minutes before it invokes.

In practice, I find that is acts like a Console has been Idle timer. If Idle for 10 minutes, it automatically switches to nights.

1440 minutes is 24 hours so unlikely to be a problem.
