Hi
I am currently struggling through taking over management of our Mitel 3300 system with 5340 ip phones as the previous person left without any handover at all. It hasn't been updated in about 3 years.
I am trying to ensure all extensions show the incoming caller number when the acd path calls are routed through to them.

I have tried updating the 'calling name display' in the COS for each extension and various other similar parameters in COS but to no avail.

Can anyone give me any pointers at all? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Start with - Do any of your phones display caller ID? (ACD or Not)

If so, compare their COS options with those of the ACD agents.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Also what do they see during the ringing and once they answer?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Hi kwmMitel - I have checked the COS with the acd agents and this is the same.
Loopylou - It shows that incoming call path name at the top of the phone but phone just continues to show the extension number when the call is delivered through on the ACD. I've been told the caller number used to display instead of the extension number when the call was delivered before.

Think its a COS option. Just can't remember which. Might be needed in the trunks but you can display the calling number rather then the path.

Are these internal calls? Why is an extension number presented?

Re Internal numbers - I think the route of the problem is that when we moved premises we had a new set of numbers.
The mitel engineer set up 'speedcall numbers' for the old incoming numbers to point to the new incoming numbers so that's why they are a bit like internal calls?

Re the COS - I'll look up displaying the calling number in the COS again to be sure it'set right.
Thanks

So, non ACD phones currently do have external Caller ID working?

Are the ones that work going through an AA or are they direct ring DID's?

Are ACD calls hitting a front end AA first? If so, check VM port COS.

Hi 619Tech
No none of the phones are showing the Caller ID.
None of them go through a front end AA.

Am not sure I have the trunks COS set up correctly. What settings should I have in the trunks COS?
