I have a 3300 ICP (9.0.1.17) and need to set up an auto attendant. I want my callers to be able to dial an extension, if they know the extension they want to go to. Otherwise I'll have the standard "press 1 for this, 2 for that, 9 for the directory, 0 for the operator, etc".

Does the MLAA detailed in the help files allow for the dialing of extensions, or only single-digit selections?

(I have a call in to my local Mitel consultant, but am trying to do my own research while I wait for the return call)

Thanks for any input!

MLAA does not allow for Dial an Extension or Dial by name.

Depending on how many single digits options you need, the best method might be to use Single digit mailboxes to perform the transfer. Using this method you create a tranfer type mailbox 1 with extension XXXX, MB 2 with extension XXXY, MB3 with Extension xxxZ, etc. In this way the Main Auto-attendant greeting can be used and access to DBN and Extensions are allowed.

There are other methods but this is the simplest.
