Has anyone installed an integrated fax solution with the 3300. I am ordering 1000 DID's. I want the first 500 DID's dedicated to voice calls.
The second 500 numbers would be assigned to inbound faxing.

I have two PRI's coming in and I want to redirect the fax numbers to a fax server.

Is there and easy and inexpensive way to pass these calls through the 3300 to the fax server?

Thanks

For what you describe I'd want a fax server with a T1 interface. You'll need either two NSU's (Network Service Units) or two E1/T1 interface modules or optionally 1 SX2000 DSU node and 1 DUAL FIM module. If cost is a consideration, the DSU Node might actually be the least expensive since you can pick one of these up on the secondary market for just a few hundred bucks, same for the cards that go in it (minimum of 1 MC270AA dual PRI card and 1 DS1 formatter (for E&M trunking or else another MC270AA) or a couple of Universal cards. A single DSU Node can provide up to 8 T1s (of any ilk) in 1 common chassis (using 4 cards). Upstream connectivity to your 3300 requires 1 Dual FIM module and some fiber jumpers. Each fiber pair (TX/RX) will carry up to 4 T1s. No matter which way you go, you will need to purchase some digital link licenses, 1 per T1/PRI planned, so you'll need a minimum of 3 digital link licenses. Link licenses are around $1500 apiece, retail. Note that whether cards or NSU's or Dual E1/T1 that BOTH hybrids of each device must be configured for the same protocol. (PRI and E&M cannot be configured together on the same card or same NSU - if 1 is PRI they both must be PRI)
