I am trying to upgrade to V6. I have the 10.2.0.8 software tool and the files to bring it to V4.2 before going to 6. My computer on site is xp. But no matter what I get a can not connect error. Is there something I am missing ?

Well, to start with you need 4.0 SP4 not 4.2

You cannot go from 9.0 to 4.2
