I am new to this forum and I posted 2 other questions about this system and received very
Good responses. Thank you.
I am new to mitel I have installed many other key and PBX switches
Executone, Iwatsu , Nortel , Nec many others.

I am having a problem with this Mitel 3100 IPC
When I make or receive a call I can only hear the out side party.but they can’t hear me.
This happens on all the phones (5) I have checked the Mic mute Feature.

If there is any way to upgrade my current version to a more workable version if so where can I find that information? Current ver.2.1
 
This happens on all of the LS ports? What about if one of the analog sets calls an IP set?
 
internal calls are ok only out side callers
 
correction" i can not hear any thing on the analog set but the ip phone can hear me
 
The current version is 4.1. You would have to get that form Mitel or a dealer. I don't know of any other place that you can get it. That is probably a big part of your problem as the first releases had a lot of problems.
 
Sounds like the default gateway/subnet mask/network is incorrect on the sets when compared to the 3100. Packets come from the 3100 to the set, but are unable to return to the 3100 from the set. I've seen this happen on a 3300 which had the incorrect gateway statically programmed on an E2T. Since a 3100 doesn't have this type of setup I'm not sure where to look.
We have no more 3100's in service, all have been replaced with 200ICP's.
 
If your using analogue lines i would recommend changing the line protocol to disconnect clear, and enable reveerse polarity detection. Im confident this will resolve your issue.
 
I'd strongly recommend upgrading to 4.1 - Since the product has been M/D they ought to give it to you. Actually the very latest code is 4.2, but I think that's only available in the UK version.
