Customer has a Mitel 200EL system. Has been running for a couple of years. Last week it stopped seeing the cards in the second cabinet. BCCIII and CIM card have been replaced in cabinet 2. Control Triple CIM card has been replaced in cabinet 1. Still system does not see the cards (only 2)

On rara occassions have seen bad cim cards. Hmmm... tried a new cim cable? I think it's an ethernet cross over.
Does the cabinet boot up? Lights on?
There is a display on the MCC card, what does it say?
What software level are you on?

Dave

You can't believe anything you read... unless of course it's this.

- and- on the MCC. CIM was replaced at the same time as the BCCIII.

Same system now sees no cards in either bay. Have replaced both BCCIII cards in both bays. System boots up and gives a 1 / 8 error code but apparently does not see any of the slotted cards.

An E.8 error appears on the MCC if the programmed options and purchased options do not match or if the password is incorrect. You can still program a system with an E.8 error.

The code is not E.8 but 1 8. This can be cleared remotely from maintenance. Replacing the BCC III cards again. Hopefully this resolves the issues.

probably know this but I have had techs replace a BCCIII and when they think it isn't working replace it. It can take 25 minutes for a BCCIII to boot up. Just a thought.
