Missing Yahoo Msngr File

I try to download yahoo messenger and I get a window popping up that reads that I'm missing the following file and without it the download is impossible; yet it offers no clue on how to obtain this file.
The file is as follows:
c\window\desktop\downloads\ymsgrie.exe
Could anyone please tell me how to obtain this file?

I just scanned my hard drive and I don't have that file either.

go to

http://www.yahoo.com

click on messenger icon, click on 'get it now', click on 'download for windows', click on 'start download' button then choose 'Run from this location' do you get the error message then? Klae

Yes, Klae;
that is exactly what happens.....it won't allow a download because of a missing desktop file. Yet they offer no solution as to where one can be found.
