Hi all, whilst unstalling some software, I seem to have deleted a file called VMM32\IOS.VXD any one any ideas. I have tried using scanreg to restore with out any luck.
 
Hi; Me again. I assume that you'v tried scanning with your system tools?
To get there go to: Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Information\Tools\System Files
and run the program.

Hate to break it to you, but programs don't uninstall the IOS.VXD automatically, which is a major Windows system component. You must have been deleting files/folders manually to have caused that, or there might be a software conflict from something you recently installed.

Also, we need more detail like:

- What is the "exact" error message?
- When does it occur?
- What version of Windows?

with winduhs you do have to use add/remove progs
