Greetings all,

Disclaimer: I inherited this from a person who left the company. I'm not a phone guy by training.

I'm having a devil of a time getting Line Redirection working on a M7310 in the office. I'm trying to get a office handset to automatically redirect all calls to a coworker's home office. I know our system is capable of it, since another set has it working. Also, the set in question has redirection set to 'Y'.

Here are the steps I'm taking:
1) Feature 84
2) Select an Intercom button when it asks for a Line Out
3) Push the Autodial for the external number I want.
4) Select 'All' when it asks to "Select Line(s)"

At this point, the set makes the error sound and displays "No line to use."

Trying to figure out how the other working set is configured, the noticeable differences are:

- Button 01 displays LineXXX on the working phone,
while the new set is not programmed.
- Intercom buttons on the working phone displays PortXXX
instead of LineXXX as on the new set.

I'm sure this has something to do with it, but I can't seem to find a way to set that button to an Incoming Line.

Is anyone aware of any FAQs or walkthroughs that explain setting up redirection to an external line soup to nuts?

TIA,
MB

Thanks a lot for that explanation. I'm going to give it a go.

Thanks again,
MB

This was the magic step:

Find Line 149 -<Line149:Unassigned
Change to Appr&Ring

Thanks so much!
