Missing Sent Mail

Has anyone heard of Exchange 2000 deleting a sizable contigious section of a users sent mail ?? (aside from the user deleting it. He swears) How would one track this action..

Check first that they haven't been fiddling with the mail options : Tools / Options / Preferences Tab, click email options button, and check that the "save copies of messages in sent items folder" tickbox is checked.

If it is, i would suggest that the user has deleted the missing sent items

Thanks, It saves them fine Its that a month's worth "disappeared" from 4 months ago... Is there a way to log item deletion and the such ? The logging options I've seen in exhange seem broad

You may find outlook has Auto Archived them.

Exchange doesn't delete unless you tell it to. Is Mailbox Manager enabled? Dan
