Missing Save for web 1

Under "save as" is supose to be "Save for web" but it isnt there. I reinstall illustrator and same thing. Can make it work.

I can click in the empty space were is supose to be "save for web" and the save for web dialog opens, but with error, no text, no buttons.

Something is going wrong.
If someone have a clue is welcome.

When you installed the software, did you choose a 'custom' or 'typical' install? If the former, you may have missed one of the necessary bits. Try another install and choose a differnt way of doing it. What version of AI?

illustrator 10.

I had try with custom and typical. I install everything again, but nothing.

ImageReady for photoshop is working perfectly. I dont know if have something to do.

The only thing I have my suspicious is that I use Opera, not IE, and the "Save for Web" if I dont understand bad have something to do with IE. Dont really know. (I tried switching to IE but nothing change).

I don't think your browser program would have any effect whatsoever on whether you can access the 'save for web' function in AI.

When you say under 'save as' do you mean:

1. In the file menu two items below 'save as' there should be 'save for web'? Instead there is a blank space.

or

2. When you choose 'Save As' there should be a save for web option and you are not seeing it.

Option 2 is incorrect and there is no 'save for web' in the save as options.

If Option 1 sounds like your problem then I would suggest the old deletion of AIPREFS. Do a search for it in this forum if you don't know how to do that!
