Missing or out-of-date export DLL

I get this error message
"Missing or out-of-date export DLL"
when I attempt to export rpt files into pdf files
within distributed VB app.

These properties are OK
- DestinationType
- FormatType
- DiskFileName

U2fcr.dll and U2ddisk.dll are in C:\WINNT\Crystal

Please help

I am having exactly the same trouble.

I have searched the web and seagate's website to no avail.

If someone has solved this problem please post it here. I don't have much hair and it is being torn out at a rate of knots.

If you are using Crystal 8.5 you need CRXF_PDF.DLL if not let me know

I am having the same problem and have got the CRXF_PDF.DLL installed.

Any other ideas?

Which integration method are you using in VB (see faq149-237 )

I have all those DLLs.

In fact, it has been working, as a stand alone VB application and also as a COM from ASP, till yesterday. I don't know what caused this problem all of a sudden.

Was something installed or changed yesterday? Something that would delete a dll, or replace one with an older version maybe?

I uninstalled and then reinstalled Crystal Reports 8.5. It works now.

i install all the dll listed before in the machine.
i show the report with crviewer, before the export buttom work fine, but , now, when i click then this buttom, not happen nothing.

when i try to export the report from code, with The properties like:
- DestinationType
- FormatType
- DiskFileName

listed for marani.

i am confused, because in a machine a day work fine, and another day do not work.

haaa...

before the charts no show, and now the charts show fine, but no the export, and before work fine....

in the machine that i install my app, i include all the dll in the setup creatde with vb pdw..

any idea please helppppppppp

Seems like there are loads of us in the same boat out there. Ken, have you got any more suggestions?

If you cannot identify either the modification, adding, or deleting of software to your machine which may have interfered with the dlls you're using for Crystal, then a reinstall of your Crystal version will simply restore your dll library. Your .rpt objects won't be overwritten.

It isn't clear if you are all having the exact same problem.

Are you having trouble with PDF Exporting or ALL exporting?

Does the Export feature work on any other installation of the application or does every installation fail?

If it worked and then stopped working, what has changed in between?

My problem is that it has never worked - but only the exporting pdf format bit. I can send the report to the printer without any problems.
I haven't and don't want to install CR on the machine in question, just the dll's for the export to work.
It all works on my own PC, but that's because I have the CR8.5 developer software installed.
I have a VB package that exports to PDF (as well as doing heaps of other things that my users don't require) that I can run as a last resort - this seems to install all the required dlls, but there are heaps and I can't pick out which one's are doing the trick. I then have to try to remove all the bits and pieces that the users don't require without messing up the original application, which is not the way I want to go.
Any bells ringing yet?
