I'm using XP Home, and msconfig.exe is nowhere to be found on my drive. How do I get it off the install CD?

It is likely there, "hidden" in a folder called:

C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries

Make a copy in c:\windows\system32 to make life easier, as this directory is always searched.

It was right there where you said it would be. Thanks so much!

start a new post, that way you'll get more replys, and state your specifications of your system and when, why did this problem start? Do you have any errors, did you install any hardware-software, was it ok the last time you shut your computer down?

we need more info please!
