Hi

On some of my flow chart diagrams some connecter lines are missing! They are in the diagram just dont appear on the print out. Others appear in part with some of it missing. Anybody have some ideas?

Thanks

Hans

Hi...My name is Gerry.

I'm wondering if you ever found a solution to your problem with the missing lines?

I have the same problem and I can't find any references anywhere on how one might fix this problem.

Visio help offers none. As a matter of fact, I think the Visio help file is absoultely the worst help file I've ever seen and this forum is like a ghost town...nobody responds to people's questions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks

I too have this problem ever since going to Visio 2000. My old visio worked fine. Tho in my case it's certain shapes wont print (or export) but they appear on the screen fine.

Visio users-

Does your drawing look like it is supposed to in print preview?

No. Redo your drawing
Yes. Update or change your printer drivers.
Visio 2000, 5.0, and 2002, do not like postscript printer drivers in some cases.

Hope this helps.

My drawing looks fine in print preview...

I downloaded another driver from HP.com for my HP LaserJet 2200 Series printer and changed the printer driver from a PCL 6 to a PCL 5e...

It still misses printing the same three lines.

Out of pure frustration, I sent the drawing file to a Lexmark Optra Plus printer to see what would happen...it printed the drawing correctly.

So it looks like Visio just won't work with the HP LaserJet 2200 Series Printers until somebody comes up with a fix.

Thanks...Gerry

Looks fine in preview..

wont print on ancient HPIIIP(non postscript) or a newer 952 deskjet.

Visio 5.0 worked just fine.. as did 200 *before* I updated it to enterprise version. I personally think that MS screwed it up.

Also, the same drawings will not export to HTML, JPEG or GIF without losing the symbols

I wonder if this is related to the problem I've had getting Visio to include all my icons when I convert Visio diagrams to JPG's. Resizing the doc seems to fix that particular issue--but that may or may not work when printing (especially if this is an issue with postscript drivers).

Yet another time-wasting bug in MS's "productivity" suite...
