Missing help and support 1

I have someone who just had Windows XP put on their computer. When they click on start and then help, the help and support does not come up. Also if you try to get help in windows explorer, nothing comes up either. They do get the option for help in word though.

Start, Run, and type in: helpctr -regserver

Then download this fix and run it:

There are other possibilities, so please advise back here as to your success or lack of same.

Thank you for the reply. After much searching I finally found something. I went to the run line and typed "regsvr32 HHCTRL.OCX

Good, that and other things would have been done with the line: Start, Run, and type in: helpctr -regserver as discussed above.

It might be worth doing this, as the registration for other DLLs might be lacking.
