I am sitting at a user's desk with Word 2003 open, looking at her font list. All of the regular fonts have been installed - Arial, Times New Roman etc, but when I look at her fonts list under Format|Fonts, I only see Device Fonts 10, 12 and 17 cpi (printer fonts.) This is only happening in Word, but Excel and all of the other Office applications can see the regular fonts.

How do I fix this?

Is there a default printer? Go to File Print and see which printer it is using.

It has the generic printer installed...

And that is your problem. Without a specific printer attached Word will not see any other fonts. Install a printer driver for any popular printer, if you don't have one.

Really? Ok... thanks!
