I Saved a folder from a computer running windows 2000 to a thumb drive and when i opened it at home on a machine running win xp pro it is not visible. Please help.

You could try to go into explorer => tools => Options => Show and change so that you can see all hidden files.
There might be more than one to change.

No dice! I tried it but still nothing. Any other ideas I am willing to even reformat as NTFS and then try a recovery software. Let me know if you have any before trying that one. THX

Thumb drives do not take kindly to NTFS. 3 years ago son did that and completely wrecked it. It just stopped responding completely. If you need to reformat it, do it in win98 FAT32 format.

Did you dismount the device before removing it? If you didn't, it could still be in the cache and not written to the thumb drive.

Thanks guys! I guess I have to redo my work. Thanks again.
