Hi everybody,
I've just notice a weird thing (too early to call it a problem). The amount of used space in my system seems to be more than reality.
I have 3 partitions
ne for win98, one for XP and the third one for common ducument and files (the E:\ partition). in E:\ i have 2 deirctories, one in the size of 2.17 GB, and one 1.33 GB, and another file of 691 MB. Simple calculation shows that the amount of used space should be about 4.2 GB. We'll add some partition information and system restore resources and it should increase to about 4.5-4.6 GB. But in reality, when i click properties for the E:\ partition, it shows that the amount of used disk space is 6.83 GB. Where have these extra 2 gigas gone?
The same situation exist in the other 2 partitions (in D:\ there is a 3 Gigas gap).
All prtitions I have are FAT32.
Is this a file system issue? Should I convert to NTFS, will the situation get better?
Thanks a lot
George
