I have users in Exchange 2000 that lose calendar items on a weekly basis. I am not scanning any Exchange folders with Antivirus, but do get the following event ID's: 8206 and 8239. Any ideas?

An appointment with the subject "Travel to Treasures meeting in San Diego" was saved to mailbox jwp@company.com. The start time is missing, so the calendaring agent cannot publish the free/busy information for this appointment. To correct this, please delete the appointment and recreate it.

Just because you have the excusions set, doesn't mean your AV won't scan the IFS on the m drive. I had this happen to me (x3). I have tried setting up NAV Corp 7.5/7.6 real time protection on my Exchange server in both managed & unmanaged mode and as a server in it's own group with all exclusions set properly. I will be damned if the NAV Corp scanned the IFS anyway. First thing to start popping up errors is the calendar. I had to rebuild my IS a few times now and have since removed the real time scanning from the mail server by recommendation of Symantec and the Microsft Collaboration group. I do still have the SAVF 3.02 or the Exchange aware product scanning the mailbox contents but no real time or file level AV. I only go to the Windows Update site anyway so it is safe.
