Hello everyone!
I have an executive that saves EVERYTHING from his outlook account. He has offline emails from back in 95. The problem I am having is that when he goes into his calendar he has all of his calendar entries from 2000-2003 (he didn't even work here at this time) then nothing till 2008 up to now. So he is missing everything from 2004-07. Is there a way to retrieve these entries? I have looked everywhere. Are all calendar enterys saved in the main .pst file?

He is running Outlook 2003 and we are running Exchange 2003 as well. Thanks for any help.

Not having .pst files in an exchange environment, I'm confused.... the .pst is what the client creates to hold the outlook data correct? what do you recommend or how should it be? The data he wants he has not had and backup tapes would not have it anymore.

Thanks for your help.

In a correctly configured environment, client machines have an .ost file that mirrors the mailbox. They are generally in sync with each other to within a couple of minutes. Of course, I know nothing of your environment, so anything is possible from a configuration standpoint.

.pst files have no place in an Exchange environment. I'm sure others will jump on this thread and attempt to argue the contrary. But there are at least a dozen reasons why they (.pst files) are bad (and a search here at Tek-Tips will bring up those reasons).

Thanks for the help Sniper! I appreciate it and will do some research.
