Greetings Everyone,

I have a somewhat confusing issue. Whenever a client calls another and they don't answer their phone for whatever reason, it's won't show that it's a missed call in the their missed call log with in that building. Now, if I make a test call to another building, which I've done to my desk from the phone in question it will show that I have a missed call.

All three extensions have the same 2410 firmware, 6, same COR 3 and they all reside on different cards in the system, 004v1, 004v3 and 004v2. This has been going on for a few months done and I'm finally getting around to Troubleshooting with the Senior Tech.

I know it's nothing in relation to the current CMS upgrade or circuit pack firmware upgrade prior to the CMS being upgrade this past weekend.

Are they are settings I should look at for call logging within that G450 that would restrict inner system call logging?

Thank You

## Enable/disable logging of Call Log entries
## Call Log entries for calls that have reached the phone
## (E.g. calls that have not been alerted because the phone was busy, or forwarded calls)
## are logged in Call Log if LOGUNSEEN is set to 1.
## If LOGUNSEEN is set to 0 then those calls will not be logged.
## Default = 1.
## Note: This feature is available on H.323 release 3.0 for 96xx & release 6.0 for 96x1 phones.
SET LOGUNSEEN 1

I see you noted 96xx and 96x1, does this also apply to model 2400 telephones?

>does this also apply to model 2400 telephones

Nope. The 2400 is a DCP handset and doesn't use the 46xxsettings file for configurations.

>Now, if I make a test call to another building, which I've done to my desk from the phone in question it will show that I have a missed call.

What sort of phone is on your desk?

Do these 3 handsets have a coverage path?

Unfortunately, I can't help more!

Take Care

Matt
I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Look at the phone itself. There should be a softkey "OPTIONS". Go into that and find the call log settings. That where you disable/enable what gets stored.

*3 phones are in question in that building, haven't heard any complaints from other users. I'm guessing they just haven't noticed it.

What sort of phone is on your desk?
*I have a 2410 telephone at my desk in the other building, on a different G450.

Do these 3 handsets have a coverage path?
*They have different coverage paths assigned to them.

The only time you enable this SET LOGUNSEEN 1 is when you are using your own HTTP server and not Avaya Utility Server. If your phones are not IP Phones 96xx will not work period anyway. Using 24xx digital model phones you need to find out the 24xx firmware version and see if their is a bug/fix in another release. But hurry because after March 18 anything under 6.0 will no longer be supported nor download software/etc..

Also does it show a missed call after the caller rolls over to voicemail or only show missed if the caller hangs up before the 5th ring

Our CM was updated to 6.3 sometime ago, I looked on Avayas Support and they only have Release 6 for the 2410 nothing in relation to call logs in the change notes.
And the phones are at Firmware 6 [Release 6?].

Is it a missed call if the caller hangs up before going to voicemail, or same caller is already logged as a missed call and don't log same number more than once. Need a little more details then on how is it missed and how is it not logged as a miss call

Our test show when the other tech called the phone I was at, which is not registering the call, when the call covers to VM, he would hang up thou it doesn't register as a missed call. If I called other the tech and did the same thing, it wouldn't register a missed call. I think most people in the building don't notice the missed, since they dump into VM.

Looking at the phones in question some of them have different coverage path options, but the endpoint after hunting will eventually end up at VM.
